Czech Avast Software to raise up to USD 100mn in NYSE IPO.

Czech antivirus software developer Avast Software is expected to raise up to USD 100mn from offering almost 11% of its share on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Hospodarske Noviny daily reported. The initial public offering (IPO) is to be launched by the end of July and will help the company raise funds for future acquisitions. The shares will be offered at a price of USD 9 and USD 11 a piece. Avast Software, set up at the beginning of the 1990s, has offices in Prague, Austria, Germany and the US. The company offers free antivirus software to non-commercial domestic users and paid software to corporate clients around the world.
