Croatias Dalekovod signs EUR 27.3mn deal with motorway co Hrvatske Autoceste.

Croatian power transmission equipment maker Dalekovod said it has signed a HRK 205.5mn (EUR 27.3mn) contract with state-owned motorway company Hrvatske Autoceste. The contract includes provision of equipment for the connecting Zagvozd-Baska Voda road and the Sveti Ilija Biokovo Tunnel road, the company said in a filling with the Zagreb Stock Exchange. Dalekovod has to provide electric power supply, road lighting, telecommunications, traffic signaling and equipment, water supply on the access roads on the northern and southern portals of the Sveti Ilija Tunnel. The works are due to start on January 15 and to complete within five months. In December, Dalekovod said it signed a EUR 1.7mn contract with Swedens Alstom Grid for the construction and equipment of a 400 kV substation. The investor of the project is Swedish power company Svenska Kraftnat, while Alstom is the main contractor. The contract includes installation and assembly works in the Barkeryd substation. Dalekovod has reported a net loss of HRK 111mn in the first nine months of 2011 versus a net profit of HRK 36.9mn a year ago. The companys revenue dropped by 32.1% on the year to HRK 879.4mn, while its total expenses went down by an annual 20.7% to HRK 989.7mn. Sales revenue declined by 33.2% to HRK 843.6mn.
