By bne IntelliNews January 28, 2011
Croatian retail chain Pevec has put up for sale real estate assets in Macedonia, MakFax news agency reported. The assets include three construction sites with a combined area of 190,000 sqm. The largest plot is located in the village of Vizbegovo near Skopje, while the other two are in Skopjes municipalities Aerodrom and Kisela Voda. The three construction sites are worth EUR 17.5mn. Their sale is being advertised in Macedonian and foreign media. MakFax comments that it is not clear yet whether Pevec plans to withdraw completely from Macedonia with those sales. It should be noted that bankruptcy proceedings against the Croatian retail companies Pevec Bjelovar and Pevec Zagreb were launched in December 2009 and February 2010 respectively.
