Croatian cigarettes maker TDR remains market leader in Bosnia with 38% share.

By bne IntelliNews February 9, 2011
Croatian cigarettes maker Tvornica Duhana Rovinj (TDR) kept its leading position on the Bosnian market capturing a market share of 38% in 2010, Onasa newswire reported. The company sold a record-high of 3.6bn cigarettes last year, up 15% y/y, CEO Davor Tomaskovic said. Despite the increase in sales, TDRs revenues fell by 8% y/y to EUR 39mn (KM 76.3mn), mainly due to the fact that the company decided not to raise prices last year. TDR, together with tobacco factory Fabrika Duhana Sarajevo (FDS), cover about 70% of the Bosnian market. TDR has been active on the local market since 1997.
