The aggregate volume of assets held by Croatian commercial banks declined by 2.8% on the year to HRK 396bn (EUR 52.2bn) at end-January, central bank data showed. The commercial banks assets inched down by an annual 1.6% in December 2012. On a monthly basis, the assets of the Croatian banks moved down 1.1% in January after falling 0.6% in December. The bank assets accounted for 106.5% of the projected 2013 GDP, down from 114.2% of GDP a year earlier. |
