The country will invest HRK 34mn (EUR 4.7mn) in online promotion of tourism. Of them, HRK 158mn will be used for online advertising, while the remainder will be spent on Internet advertising together with domestic and foreign entities. Tourism minister Damir Bajs said that the country expects the number of visitors, who booked their holidays on-line, to increase on the year. We note that in Jan-May, the total number of tourists visited the country went down by 3.2% y/y to 1.76mn, while the number of overnights spent by them declined by 0.1% y/y to 5.44mn. |
