Croatia sells EUR 255mn of T-bills, yields drop.

Croatia's finance ministry said it sold EUR 255.2mn worth of Treasury bills at its December 4 auction. A total of HRK 1,431mn (EUR 189.8mn) of the sold securities were denominated in kuna, while the remaining EUR 65.4mn were denominated in euro, the ministry said in a statement on its website. The planned amount of the kuna-denominated T-bills stood at HRK 800mn, while that of the euro-denominated T-bills was EUR 60mn. The ministry sold HRK 332mn worth of three-month kuna-denominated T-bills after receiving bids for HRK 522mn. It also sold HRK 398mn worth of six-month kuna-denominated T-bills after receiving bids for HRK 1,033mn and placed HRK 701mn of one-year T-bills after receiving bids for HRK 1.44bn. The yields on the three-month T-bills stood at 1.25% (dropping from previous 1.5%), on the six-month T-bills at 2.15% (dropping from previous 2.5%) and on the one-year T-bills at 2.7% (dropping from previous 2.9%). The ministry also sold a three-month issue of euro-denominated T-bills worth EUR 46.3mn, yielding 1.2% (dropping from previous 1.5%), and a EUR 19mn issue of one-year euro-denominated T-bills issue, yielding 2.2% (unchanged from previous 2.2%). Demand for the three-month euro T-bills totalled EUR 68.3mn and for the one-year ones it reached EUR 24mn.
