Croatia's number of passenger arrivals down by 0.1% y/y in August.

The passenger arrivals in Croatia from abroad dropped by 0.1% y/y to 10,927 in August, while departures went down by 0.8% y/y to 11,035, the statistics office reported. Within the cross-border traffic of passengers at railway border crossings, the number of arrivals declined by 0.2% y/y and of departures - by 0.4% y/y. The road border crossings showed that the traffic of passengers inched down by 0.3% y/y in terms of arrivals and went down by 1% y/y in terms of departures, while the air border crossing stepped up by 4.4% y/y in terms of arrivals and by 3.3% y/y in terms of departures. Meanwhile, the number of maritime border crossings of passengers increased by 0.9% y/y in terms of arrivals and by 1% y/y in terms of departures. The number of passenger vehicles, which arrived in the country at border crossings, went down by 1.2% y/y in August and the number of passenger vehicles, which departed from it, dropped by 1.6% y/y.
