Croatia's average net wage down by real 3.8% y/y in June.

Croatias average net wage dropped by a real 3.8% on the year in June after declining by an annual 1.9% in the previous month, detailed data of the statistics office showed. In nominal terms, the average net wage went down marginally by 0.1% on the year to HRK 5,492 (EUR 727.7) in June following an increase of 1.9% on the year a month earlier. On a monthly basis, the June average net wage narrowed by 0.7% in nominal and by 0.1% in real terms. The sector classification showed that most of the sectors contributed to the overall monthly drop of the net wage. In nominal terms, wages declined most in information and communication (8.2% on the month) and in financial and insurance activities (7.4% on the month). On monthly basis, the gross wage declined by 0.3% in real and by 0.9% in nominal terms to HRK 7,909 in June, while on annual basis it went down by a real 3.4% and remained unchanged on the year in nominal terms.
