Croatias average annual interest rates on kuna credits not indexed to foreign currency went down by 1.02pps on the year to 9.17% in September, the central bank (HNB) reported. September average interest rates on long-term credits fell by 1.35pps y/y to 7.58%, while the short-term credits interest rates dropped 0.93pps y/y to 9.36%. Interest rates on short-term credits extended to enterprises fell by an annual 0.16pps to 6.89% in September, while interest rates on short-term credits extended to households declined by 1.43pps on the year to 11.23%. Interest rates on long-term credits extended to enterprises dropped by 0.87pps y/y 5.72% in September, while interest rates on long-term credits to households fell by 1.58pps y/y to 9.51% in September. Average interest rates on kuna credits indexed to foreign currency were 7.04% in September, down by 1.1pps compared to a year ago.
