Croatian DIV group, specialised in the production of industrial fasteners and other machine parts and metal products, plans to invest EUR 18mn in the construction of factories in Zagreb and Knin, in southern Croatia, Poslovni Dnevnik daily reported, quoting managing director Tomislav Debeljak as saying. The group will build a EUR 10mn factory in Zagreb, which will produce concrete sleepers. The factory is expected to employ about 300 workers. The new factory in Knin will be worth EUR 8mn and will produce marine hardware components employing also 300 workers. Debeljak also said that DIV group had plans to launch next month a EUR 25mn screw factory in Knin, which would generate about EUR 100mn revenues annually. The construction of the plant was financed with EUR 15mn of the groups own funds and a EUR 10mn loan taken by the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR).
