CPI increased to 4.58% y/y in August.

Indonesia's consumer price index (CPI) increased to 4.58% y/y in August this year, as compared to the growth of 4.56% y/y registered in July. As reported by Agence France Presse, the country's inflation rose slightly higher during the period, as the food prices increased during the Eid al-Fitr Muslim holiday celebrations. The country's core inflation, which excludes volatile food prices, was recorded at 4.16% during the period, as compared to 4.28% registered in July.
