The Committee of the Ministers of the Council of Europe unanimously voted to terminate the post-accession monitoring of Montenegro, the cabinet press office informed. The decision follows a positive evaluation of Rapporteur Group on Democracy on the progress Montenegro made in fulfilling the obligations which the membership in the Council of Europe entails. Montenegro became the 47th member of the oldest European organisation in mid-2007 after Podgorica authorities pledged to adopt all negotiated legislation in due time.
