Construction works value in Bosnias Serb Republic shrinks 14.3% y/y in Q1.

The value of the completed construction works in Bosnias Serb Republic fell 14.3% on the year in the first quarter of 2012, the Republics statistics office said without providing a figure. In March alone, the value of completed works dropped an annual 25.8% on the year but jumped a monthly 89%, the office said in a statement. The number of workers at the Republics construction sites fell by an annual 7.4% in the first three months of 2012, while the volume of effective working hours shrank 3.8% over the period. The number of workers engaged in the construction sector in March dropped 2.4% on the year but rose 43.6% on the month. The amount of effective working hours spent in the third month of 2012 decreased an annual 4.4% and increased by a monthly 54.4%.
