Comair to embark on aggressive strategy for market share in Africa

Regional aviationgroup Comair said that is was planning an aggressive strategy to claim marketshare in Africa, aiming to chip away at theroutes dominated by state-owned airlines. Comair will soon be launching routesfrom Johannesburg to both Dar es Salaam and Walvis Bay. The newroutes will be launched with five weekly flights to each destination. The groupalso plans to increase its seven flights a week to Windhoek to 10 within the next few months.Comair has ordered eight new aircraft due for delivery in 2012, but will bemaking more efficient use if its current fleet in the interim.
