One of the bigger projects was that of Chinese car maker JAC Motors to build a plant for the production of passenger cars and trucks, following other Chinese car companies, which aimed to enter the EU market. JAC Motors is currently negotiating the investment terms with the Slovak authorities. There was no information on the volume of the investment or the expected impact on employment. Other possible Chinese projects in Slovakia included an expansion of the telecommunication Huawei, as well as building of high-speed railway tracks, investment in hotels, mineral water and spa resorts.
