China wants to create 2 free economic zones with Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

China plans to create 2 free economic zones on the borders with Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, ambassador of China to Kyrgyzstan Wang Kaiwen has stated. The main aim is to decrease imbalance in development of eastern and western part of China. The zones will be opened in Khorgos and Kashgar. Significantly, Kazakhstan and China will open Khorgos land port on Jul 1. This will become the most important crossing point between China and Central Asia.
