China wants to build telephone cable across Kazakhstan to Europe. China Telecom Europe is presently in talk with Kazakhtelecom on the issue. If Kazakhstan agrees to the line, the project should be completed by the end of this year. Form Kazakhstan, the cable would pass Russia to Europe. China has already constructed 3 telephone lines connecting it with Europe. However, according to the Chinese company, the route via Kazakhstan would be the best route as it would be shorter than other links.
