Caterpillar mulls investment in Turkey, industry minister Nihat Ergun said. Caterpillars president Doug Oberhelman will visit Turkey in the coming weeks to explore opportunities for producing heavy equipment in the country and may seek a local partner, and this will probably be a billion-dollar investment, Ergun added. The Turkish government also proposed Caterpillar to invest in R&D activities besides production, according to the minister.
