Cargo traffic through Russian seaports up 10.4% in Jan-Apr. The total cargo traffic through Russian seaports increased 10.4% y/y to 167.5mn tonnes in Jan-Apr, the Association of Commercial Seaports said in a statement. Of the total, ports handled 65.6mn tonnes of dry cargo, up 14.2% y/y, and 101.8mn tonnes of bulk cargo, up 8.1% y/y. In 2009, the total cargo traffic through Russian seaports increased 9.2% y/y to 496.4mn tonnes, the association said earlier.
