Car manufacturing cluster to be established in Kazakhstan.

Azia Avto, Kazakhstans car assembly plant, is going to implement a project on creating a car manufacturing cluster located in Ust-Kamenogorsk. It is said that about USD 514m would be invested in the project with the scheduled time of implementation by 2017. The project involves equipment for blanking, welding, painting, producing components and finished vehicles of up to 120thsd units per year. Established in 2003, Kazakhstans Azia Avto car assembly plant is the only operating car manufacturer in Kazakhstan. Azia Avto partners include the worlds leading companies such as, Volkswagen Group, General Motors, Renault-Nissan-AvtoVAZ as well as KIA Motors.
