The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) approved a credit line in the amount of EUR 20mn to state-run Bulgarian Development Bank, Focus news agency reported. The funding promotes job creation and growth in small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) in the country as well as aims to improve the access of SMEs to financing. The funds will be allocated to ongoing programmes of Bulgarian Development Bank and will reach Bulgarian business via direct investment loans. As recalled, earlier this month Bulgarian Development Bank also signed a EUR 20mn short-term loan agreement with Austria's Hypo Noe Gruppe.
