Bulgarian national flag carrier Bulgaria Air and LSG Sky Chefs, part of Germany's Lufthansa, signed a contract to establish a joint aviation catering company. The new entity will be named Silver Wings. The stakes of the two owners in the new company have not been disclosed. Silver Wings will service the planes of Bulgaria Air and will seek expansion to other air carriers at a later stage. A restaurant in the country's largest airport in Sofia is to be opened next year. LSG Sky Chefs is one of the world's largest aviation catering companies servicing some 300 air companies in 50 countries. Lufthansa and Bulgaria Aviation Group, the parent of Bulgaria Air, run another joint company for airplane repairs, Lufthansa Technik Sofia.
