Bosnias Jan-Oct industrial output down 5.3% y/y.

Bosnias industrial production fell 3.2% y/y in October after declining 2% y/y in September, the statistics office said in a statement. In JanOct the industrial output shrank 5.3% y/y. In September alone, output of the utilities sector shrank 13.3% y/y after expanding by 4.5% y/y in September. The mining and quarrying industry registered a bigger yearly drop in Oct (7% y/y) than a month earlier (4.3% in Sep). Octobers manufacturing production edged up 0.7% on the year after shrinking 3.2% y/y in the previous month. Bosnias industrial production has been shrinking since the beginning of the year, sending negative signals about the sectors contribution to Bosnias economic output. In 2011, industry accounted for some 26% of total value added.
