The industrial production in Bosnia's Federation fell 9.6% on the year in March after shrinking an annual 12.2% a month earlier, the Federations statistics office said in a statement. In monthly terms, March output rose 14% after dropping 9.9% in February when many production sectors remained blocked for days due to freezing temperatures and blizzards. The Jan-March output was down 9.6% on the year. Electricity, gas and water supply output registered the steepest annual fall in March, of 27.4%, after declining 18.3% a month earlier. The annual drop in manufacturing industry output shrank to 5.3% in March from 11.6% in February. The mining and quarrying output, however, turned to an annual growth of 2.3% after posting a 5.1% drop in February. In the main industry groups, energy, durable and non-durable consumer goods amplified their annual drops in March, while capital goods cut it. Intermediate goods, except energy swung to an output increase after declining in February.
