Bosnias Federation distributive trade turnover down 1.1% y/y in Q3 2012.

The distributive trade turnover in Bosnias Federation shrank by an annual 1.1% to BAM 4.6bn (EUR 2.4bn) in the third quarter of 2012 after falling 7.9% on the year in the second quarter, the entity's statistics office said in a statement. The distributive trade comprises all types of trade activities, from supplying goods from the producer to distributing them to the final consumer. When compared to the previous quarter, the Q3 distributive trade went up 4.5%. The turnover of wholesale trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles fell 25.2% y/y to BAM 131mn. The retail trade turnover of motor vehicles and motorcycles dropped 5.4% y/y to BAM 68mn in Q3, while turnover in automotive fuel edged down 0.9% y/y to BAM 430mn. Wholesale trade in the Federation shrank by an annual 4.2% to BAM 2.2bn in Q3. Retail trade turnover went up 2.5% to nearly BAM 1.5bn over the period.
