The average net monthly wage in Bosnia edged up 0.9% y/y in nominal terms to BAM 832 (EUR 425) in November 2012 after rising 2.2% y/y in October, the statistics office said in a statement. Yet, according to IntelliNews calculations, net wages in Bosnia have been shrinking in real terms year-on-year ever since October 2010. Gross average monthly salary in the country was BAM 1,300 in November, up 1 % y/y. Bosnias wage growth remains below its pre-crisis level, which reached over 17% y/y at end-2008 for both gross and net wage. High unemployment and increased fiscal consolidation measures under the country's USD 520mn loan deal with the IMF will continue to keep wages down.
