Bosnia's consumer price inflation at state level sped up further to 3.9% y/y in March after a 3.3% y/y price growth in the previous month, the statistics office reported. Food prices soared by 7.5% y/y in March, following a 6% annual rise a month earlier, thus being among the reasons for the higher CPI growth. Moreover, transport prices inflation accelerated by 1.2pps over the month to 7.9% y/y, also exerting upward pressure on the index. In monthly terms, a slight 0.7% inflation was booked in March, same as in February. We note that the RS statistics office reported a CPI of 4.2% y/y in March, up by 0.5pps over the month, while CPI inflation in the Federation was reported at 3.7% y/y, up by 0.7pps against February.
