Bosnia's Indirect Taxation Authority collects EUR 258.7mn in August 2011.

Bosnia's Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) has collected BAM 506mn (EUR 258.7mn) in indirect taxes in August, an amount which is flat y/y, ONASA news agency reported. The indirect taxes collected by ITA include VAT, excise tax, customs duties as well as tolls. ITA has collected BAM 3.81bn in Jan-Aug, an amount which is 7.2% higher y/y. Over this period, VAT refunds totaled BAM 579mn. Thus, users of revenues from the single ITA account received BAM 3.23bn in Jan-Aug, an amount 5% higher y/y. The allocations have been as follows: state level institutions received BAM 455mn; Federation BiH received BAM 1.72bn and BAM 45mn from tolls; the Serb Republic received BAM 875mn and BAM 30mn from tolls; and Brcko District received BAM 96mn and BAM 1.5mn from tolls.
