Ball Corporation to relocate production line to Serbia from Poland.

Ball Corporation announced that it will relocate a beverage can production line at first intended for a plant in Lublin, Poland, to Ball's plant in Serbia, Ball Packaging Europe said in a statement on its web-site. The new line will be integrated in the existing production facilities in Belgrade. Production is expected to start in Q1 2010. The new line has a capacity of some 750mn beverage cans per year. One production line has already been operating in Belgrade since 2005. The Serbian facility currently employs some 140 and the expansion will result in an additional workforce of 40.
