Assets of Czech financial institutions grow 8% y/y in June 2012.

The aggregate assets of Czech monetary financial institutions (MFIs) increased by 8% y/y to CZK 4.827trln (EUR 190.6bn) as of end-June 2012, speeding from a 6.7% growth in the previous month, data from the central bank showed. The data includes the assets of banks and money market funds, excluding the central bank. In monthly terms, assets edged up 0.3%, after rising 1% in May. Loans to residents that comprise 58% of the total assets rose 4.2% y/y to CZK 2.808trln as of end-June, following a 3.2% growth in May. External assets were 16.9% higher on the year at CZK 644.9bn.
