Albanian central bank to auction EUR 57.3mn T-Bills on Nov 27.

The Albanian central bank, which places state securities on behalf of the government, said it will auction ALL 8bn (EUR 57.3mn) worth of T-bills on November 27. The bank will offer 12-month T-bills worth ALL 5.7mn and 3-month T-bills totalling ALL 2.3bn. The average yield on the 12-month securities declined by 21bps to 6.41% at the latest auction held on November 13. The yield on the 3-month T-bills edged down to 5.05% at the latest auction on October 30, from 5.09% achieved at the previous tender held on September 25. The central bank has auctioned lek-denominated T-bills worth ALL 292.4bn since the beginning of 2012. It decided at its latest meeting on October 31 to keep the base interest rate unchanged at its record-low of 4%, after cutting it by 0.25pps in July.
