Albania to repay USD 8.5mn debt to Serbia.

Albania will repay a USD 8.5mn debt to Serbia following an agreement signed earlier by the Albanian and Serbian governments, Tanjug News Agency reported. The Serbian government submitted the agreement for approval at the parliament. It envisages two payments on March 31 and September 30 every year for a period of five years. We remind that Albania agreed to settle debts with the countries from the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, after signing a deal in mid-December. The government is due to pay USD 23.84mn in total to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro.
