Albania will hold a third round of talks on a Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) with the EU on July 19, 2011, the foreign ministry informed. The Albanian delegation, headed by deputy PM and foreign minister Edmond Haxhinasto, will meet with representatives of the European Commission and Polish presidency to discuss the countrys progress towards the implementation of the 12 criteria, outlined by the European Commission. Fight against organized crime and corruption are among the key challenges that Albania faces. Talks will also focus on the political stalemate in Albania, which is seen as a major threat to countrys further EU integration. |
