The government is not planning to raise money in the financial markets in 2011, after its debut EUR 300mn Eurobond issue in October, finance minister Ridvan Bode was cited as saying by Albanian Daily News. The government plans instead to use development and concessional loans from international financial institutions. We remind that Prime Minister Sali Berisha said in November that the government was planning to launch a second Eurobond issue seeking to raise between EUR 300mn and EUR 500mn in 2011 to finance road construction. Albania raised EUR 300mn in its debut Eurobond issue in October 2010. The bonds have a five-year maturity and a fixed annual coupon of 7.5%.
