Albania extends concession contract with French Morpho Group.

Albanias interior ministry and French company Morpho Group signed on March 19 an agreement for the extension of the concession contract, which was awarded to the company in 2008 with the purpose for production and distribution of electronic passports and identification cards, the ministry informed in a statement. Under the new agreement, the company will add new services to its concessionary portfolio, which will enable Albanian citizens to use a number of e-platforms in the field of social, healthcare, notary and bank services. The new agreement has a 10-year term and is due to be approved by Albanian parliament.
