Albania, Belgium to strengthen economic ties.

The governments of Albania and Belgium have expressed a commitment to strengthen bilateral economic relations, the Albanian foreign ministry said in a statement. Albanian deputy PM and foreign minister Edmond Haxhinasto has discussed the issue with the president of the Belgian Senate, Sabine de Bethune, in a meeting in Brussels. According to Haxhinasto, Albania offers great investment opportunities in the fields of energy, agriculture, tourism, food industry and transport. Albania and Belgium also signed a protocol of cooperation between the two foreign ministries, which provides a platform for closer institutional cooperation.
