94% of Internet users in Slovakia shop on-line.

According to a survey carried out by the portal eureka.sk, 94% of the interviewed 3,000 Internet users in Slovakia shopped online in 2010, news agency SITA reported. Electronics were the most popular purchased item (27% of the respondents), followed by books (10%), clothes (9%), white home appliances (7%) and cosmetics (6%). In terms of spent amounts, about 22% of the on-line buyers spent between EUR 202 and EUR 400, 19% between EUR 401 and EUR 800 while 17% spent EUR 900. The most preferred way for payment is on delivery. It is used by 43% of the respondents. Another 26% used bank cards and 7% paid offline in the store.
